The Nordlys Ellipse system is an unique IPL with narrowband technology defined by a patented dual filters and sub-millisecond pulses for exceptional photorejuvenation and vascular treatments, as well as hair removal.

Ellipse IPL uses narrower wavelength bands, per condition, enabling treatment of photodamaged skin using less than half the fluence, no active cooling, and fewer treatments than reported in studies with broadband IPL devices.

IPL photorejuvenation with Ellipse IPL, using relatively shorter wavelengths and pulse widths, showed significant macroscopic and quantitative improvements, especially in the treatment of epidermal pigmentation and improvement of basic skin tone.

The Frax 1550 nm laser rejuvenates skin by delivering very small, very controlled bursts of heat energy only to the area being treated. This unique technology allows the pulse time and energy to be set independently to deliver controlled heat at the appropriate width and depth to meet individual needs. The heat stimulates the production of collagen, which will resurface the skin over time. As the laser is rolled across the skin, the treatment takes a short time, the surface of the skin is left intact and healing will be short.

The Nordlys Ellipse system treats acne by reducing the blood supply to the sebaceous gland to slow down the production of sebum.  The system delivers short, safe bursts of Ellipse  IPL directed at the skin. Using patented Dual Mode Filtering technology, the system filters the light to ensure that only the wavelengths necessary for the treatment are used. Because of this, only the blood vessels that supply the sebaceous gland are impacted, while the surrounding vessels are not affected.
